High Performance - Male
UNDER 16 PROGRAM   UNDER 17 PROGRAM

The BC Hockey Male High Performance Program was introduced in 1980 with the mandate to systematically identify and train the province's elite-level players for high performance hockey sporting events. The overall objective of the program is to increase the chances of athletes from BC to compete provincially, regionally, nationally and internationally with the ultimate goal being selected to Hockey Canada’s National Junior or National Senior Team. To be eligible, all players must be members of BC Hockey or past members attending a Hockey Canada recognized residential school.

The Canada Winter Games, BC Winter Games and the Under 17 World Hockey Challenge are events that are outside of the jurisdiction of BC Hockey and may result in differing player eligibility requirements.

BC Athlete Assistance Program and CSCP Targeted Athlete List

Each season BC Hockey is awarded the opportunity to nominate players to be designated by Canadian Sport Centre Pacific as “identified athletes”. The athletes are designated as a result of participation / selection / performance in the BC Hockey High Performance Program. The CSC Pacific performance model assists national and provincial sport organizations and their targeted athletes, across the province, providing services to both summer and winter sports. Registered athletes gain access to benefits including; Gymworks (gym passes), performance enhancement seminars, links to medical services, and career services. Their coaches also have access to these services.
