2 BC Players invited to National Sledge Hockey Camp
Hockey Canada announced today that James Gemmell and Joe Skillen have been invited to attend the 2009 National Sledge Hockey Selection Camp from September 4 – 7 in Milton, ON at the Milton Sports Centre. Immediately following the camp, the National Team for the 2008-09 season will be announced by Hockey Canada.

Applications for Canucks Centre Programs
BC Hockey and the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey are looking to recruit on and off-ice course conductors and coaches for the upcoming programs running in the 2008-2009 season. All programs are part of the Vancouver Canucks grass roots hockey development and are run by the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey, Hockey Canada and the BC Hockey Branch.

Call for Esso Fun Day Bid Applications
BC Hockey is now accepting bid applications for the 2008-2009 season to host the Esso Fun Day Program between August, 2008-November 30, 2008. Esso Fun Days is designed to introduce the game of hockey and its basic skills in a fun and supportive learning environment for the first time female hockey player.

2009 Team Pacific Short List Announced
BC Hockey announced today the twenty-one (21) players short listed for the 2009 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, hosted by the Port Alberni Region from December 29, 2008 to January 4, 2009. The evaluation process of the short listed players will now begin and last until mid November when the team staff will select the eleven (11) players to represent one half of Team Pacific.
