BC Hockey has recently entered into a partnership with Dodge Chrysler, resulting in the launch of the Caravan Kids Program in our Branch. As a result, Chrysler Canada and Chrysler Jeep Dodger retailers are offering sponsorship packages to minor hockey teams across BC and the Yukon. The joint effort between BC Hockey and Chrysler Jeep Dodge retailers will fund Novice house league teams within in a 100 kilometre radius of an existing Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership.
Requirements of the Minor Hockey Association
Minor Hockey Associations may use this sponsorship for all Novice House League teams; there is no limit the number of sponsorships in any one association. The requirements on each team under the sponsorship are limited to the following: the team is to be identified in league schedules, standings, and promotional information as sponsored by Dodge Caravan Kids. It is important to note that the team cannot be combined with another sponsor.
Benefits of the Sponsorship
The team sponsorship is worth $550 and this can be used at the discretion of the minor hockey association or team manager and head coach. Local associations that take part in the program will receive their sponsorship funds directly from the BC Hockey office, which will assist in limiting the amount of administration required at the local level in accessing this funding. Throughout the year your Chrysler Jeep Dodge retailers will run various programs and contests, and the team contact information will be used in order to promote these special events. Additionally, the contacts will be utilized to identify contest winners, therefore team contacts must be declared for each participating team.
How to Take Advantage of the Program
Interested associations must contact Sean Orr, Coordinator, Communications & Events, at the BC Hockey office prior to 4pm on September 15, 2008, with the completed association and team contact form to be eligible for the sponsorship.
