Valley West Hawks vs. Vancouver North West Giants

The Hawks and Giants played a home-and-home series, and the Giants beat the league-leading Hawks in back-to-back games to claim the top spot in the standings. Justin Wilson got a hat trick for the Giants, with Jackson Shepard and Mitchell Williams also contributing goals. Justin De Vos, Ben Evanish, and Ilijiah Colina scored for the Hawks.
Okanagan Rockets vs. Kootenay Ice

Okanagan showed off their offensive firepower in Game 1 against Kootenay, scoring 10 goals – four (4) from Matt Kowalski, two (2) from Alec Zawatsky, and additional goals from Myles Mattila, Hayden Dick, Coleton Bilodeau, and Jordan Todd. The Ice fought back in Game 2, losing by just two (2) goals after a closely contested game. Zawatsky, Kowalski, Benjamin Dietrich-Scammell (2), and Zach Erhardt scored for the Rockets, while Hunter Floris (2), Kobe Nishida, and Caige Sterzer scored for Kootenay.
Cariboo Cougars vs. South Island Royals

Cariboo 5, South Island 2
The Cougars held a special breast cancer awareness weekend, and came away with two (2) wins to please the hometown crowd. In Game 1, Dorrin Luding came away with the shutout, while Tyler Maser got the hat trick and Chris Jandric scored an additional goal. In Game 2 the Royals were able to put two (2) goals past Aaron Jakubowski, but the Cougars still prevailed thanks to goals from Chase Dubois (2), Trey Thomas, Darian Long, and Colton Thomas.
Thompson Blazers vs. North Island Silvertips

Thompson 4, North Island 4
North Island travelled to Kamloops to take on Thompson, and travelled home to Nanaimo with three (3) points after a win and a tie. The win came in Game 1, when Derek Krall shutout the Blazers and Cole Pridham, Ethan Schmunk, and Dawson Frank scored to get the win. The Blazers battled back in Game 4, earning a tie thanks to goals from Matthew Fachinelli (2) and Brendan Mongey (2).
Vancouver North East Chiefs vs. Greater Vancouver Canadians
Vancouver NE 0, Greater Vancouver 2
The Canadians blanked the Chiefs in Coquitlam thanks to a shutout from Matteo Paler Chow and goals from Eric Bourhill and Scott Atkinson. Game 2 of the series will be rescheduled due to an ice conflict.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
