BC Hockey announced today that Vancouver North East Chiefs forward Connor Sanvido has been named the Major Midget League Player of the Month for February. Sanvido finished the month of February with eight (8) goals and nine (9) assists for a total of 17 points. His only pointless game was against the Okanagan Rockets when he was unable to finish the game due to a broken skate blade in the first period.
“Leading a line with Brandon Millin and Trevor Schmidt, they were a big reason in keeping us close to playoff contention and were an offensive threat every game during this stretch,” said Vancouver North East Chiefs head coach Doneau Menard.
As well as being named Player of the Month, Sanvido will receive a gift from Mission-Itech on his selection.
Connor Sanvido was chosen from a high calibre list of nominees for this prestigious award. The runners up in no particular order are as follows:

The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group. Playing at this high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
