Team BC Female Summer Development Camp
Tuesday, June 19, 2012
BC Hockey announced June 19, 2012 that a Summer Camp will be held for Team BC female U18 in Salmon Arm, BC from July 25-29. Twenty-four (24) players were selected to continue in the selection process following the Team BC Provincial Camp.
Team BC Summer Camp Roster
The Summer Development Camp is a critical step in their preparation to represent BC at the 2012 Women’s National Under 18 Championship in Dawson Creek, BC from November 7-12, 2012.
The camp will run in conjunction with the Kazakhstan National Women’s Team camp which will also be taking place in Salmon Arm. Kazakhstan is coming to BC as a guest of Hockey Canada as part of the IIHF Ambassador and Mentor Program. The program has selected ambassadors from the top four (4) countries in Female Hockey and assigned them to nine (9) other countries to help develop their program.
Following the camp, the team will come together again for a set of exhibition games, which will be held in September. BC Hockey will release more information on the game schedule in early September.
BC Hockey’s Female High Performance Program was established to identify and train athletes and team personnel for possible participation at Provincial, National and International events.
