8/28/2009BC Hockey announced today the 22 players short listed for the 2010 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge. The evaluation process of the short listed players will begin at the start of the 2009-10 season and last until mid November when the team staff selects 11 players from BC to represent one half of Team Pacific. Alberni Valley Bulldog Wins National Junior A Scholarship
4/23/2009Hockey Canada recently announced the 2009 RBC Junior A Scholarship winners including the national award winner, Kevin Ross of the BCHL’s Alberni Valley Bulldogs. 12/5/2008Hockey Canada announced today that BC’s Rayna Cruickshank and Kaleigh Fratkin have been selected to represent Canada at the 2009 World Women’s Under 18 Championship taking place in Fussen, Germany from January 5-10, 2009. Cruickshank and Fratkin also were selected to the National Under 18 Summer Team. Team Canada took on the USA in a 3-game series in August.

6 BC Players Invited to National Junior Selection Camp
12/3/2008Hockey Canada announced today the 38 players invited to the National Junior Selection Camp December 11-15, 2008 at the SBP Arena and the Rocket-Guertin Arena in Ottawa, Ontario. BC Hockey Helmet Policy Takes Effect
12/1/2008The BC Hockey Helmet Policy takes effect today which will require all minor hockey coaches to wear a CSA approved helmet during BC Hockey on-ice sanctioned events. The failure to wear a helmet by a minor hockey coach in a BC Hockey sanctioned activity will result in the pulling of BC Hockey’s sanction of the event. Unsanctioned events are not covered by the association’s insurance policy.
