In keeping with Hockey Canada and BC Hockey policy, please note the new process below regarding requirements for the membership application effective as of the 2015-2016 season.
With last year’s adjustment to the BC Hockey Branch Policy 1.36 regarding Association and League Screening Process, all BC Hockey Minor Hockey Associations and District Associations are required to provide an outline of your documented screening process with your membership application.
For convenience to our members, we have included a function to our membership application that allows you to upload your association’s screening process documentation following the submission of your membership application. In preparation for the document upload, please make sure that your association’s screening process is in a .pdf, .doc, or .docx file format.
It is important to note that this documentation is required prior to membership approval for the upcoming season. If you are unable to upload the document with your membership application submission, we ask that it be submitted via email to info@bchockey.net.
Also, the Hockey Canada Screening Toolbox (http://members.hockeycanada.ca/screening/) is a useful resource to aid in the development and improvement of your screening process.
