BFL Canada Risk & Insurance Inc., Hockey Canada’s insurance broker, offers optional coverage to BC Hockey participants within districts and above minor leagues as long as all members of the group adhere to the program. All teams within a league or district are required to opt in; it is not available on an individual team or association basis.
As follow up to BC Hockey Bulletin 2016-015, please note that effective September 1, 2016 a new application form and a new rating grid will be released. All new application forms received prior to September 1, 2016 will avoid a raise in these rates. For those who are already members of the program and have a renewal date after September 1, 2016, the new rating will be applied.
Attached to this bulletin you will find the new 2016 application form that will be valid as of September 1, 2016. Coverage specifics are included for your review, and below is a breakdown of the cost per participant depending on the limit of coverage selected:
