BFL Canada Risk & Insurance Inc., Hockey Canada’s insurance broker, offers optional coverage to BC Hockey participants within districts and above minor leagues as long as all members of the group adhere to the program. All teams within a league or district are required to opt in; it is not available on an individual team or association basis.
Following Hockey Canada’s new regulation regarding the full facial protection for all levels below Junior A beginning August 1st, 2020, BFL Canada has adapted their extra dental insurance program by adding a new two tier rate structure based on the type of protection used by players.
