BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Wyatt Waselenchuk has been selected as the BC Hockey Player of the Month for February. As a goaltender for the Vancouver North East Chiefs, Wyatt stopped over 40 shots per game in two games and an outstanding 50 shots in another making him undefeated for the month.
“His play was a huge part in allowing the Chiefs to remain in the playoff picture until the last day of the regular season,” stated Chiefs Head Coach Doneau Menard.
As player of the month, Waselenchuk will receive a gift from Mission-Itech.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
