BC Hockey would like to congratulate Grant Kerr on being presented the Ernie Gare Award as the BC Hockey Coach of the Year. During the 2006-2007 season, Kerr held the position of head coach with the Vancouver North West Giants, leading the team to a regular season second place finish with a 27-6-7 record. The team was tied for points with the first-place ranked Cariboo Cougars. During the playoffs, the Giants swept the Cougars to become the 2006-2007 Major Midget League Champions.
