Game 3 ended in a 1-1 tie – after two (2) deadlocked periods, Thompson-Okanagan’s Jenna Fletcher made it 1-0 early in the third, but Fraser Valley’s Jessica Douglas scored with just under eight (8) minutes remaining to end the game with a tie.
The FMAAA was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite female Midget teams. The league has had over 100 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
