The BC Major Midget League (MML) is pleased to announce several team general managers for the 2017-2018 season.

Zed Malencia is a teacher at Nanaimo Secondary School and has been a scout with the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Everett Silvertips since 2012. He has worked with the North Island Silvertips as an educational advisor.
Patrick Bobyn has been a coach with Kelowna Minor Hockey for seven (7) years and was named the Association’s most promising coach in 2011. He has a law degree and a Master’s Degree in Management from the University of BC (UBC).
Jimmy Ghuman moves from assistant coach with the Vancouver North East Chiefs to general manager of the team. He was also the video coach for Team BC U16 team in 2016.
Cam Paddock is currently the Director of Hockey Operations at North Shore Winter Club. He played professionally for 10 seasons after a five (5) year career with the Kelowna Rockets which included a Memorial Cup Championship in 2004. Jon Calvano, the previous general manager of the North West Giants, stepped down from the position.
The Cariboo Cougars will announce their staff following the conclusion of the 2017 TELUS Cup.
The team head coaches will be announced shortly.
The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship, which will take place in Prince George, BC April 24-30 2017.
