The BC Major Midget League (MML) is pleased to announce several team head coaches for the 2017-2018 season.
The following team staff are returning for the 2017-2018 season:

Peter Hay joins the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds after previously coaching with the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Chilliwack Bruins. Hay is a former NCAA collegiate player with UMass-Lowell and he played with the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds.
Michael Twaites moves from assistant coach to head coach with the Greater Vancouver Canadians. He helped the Canadians reach the BC Hockey MML final against Cariboo this season. He is a former WHL Bantam Draft pick of the Kamloops Blazers.
Dave Johnston joins the North Island Silvertips as the new head coach. He is a former assistant coach and assistant general manager with the British Columbia Hockey League’s (BCHL) Nanaimo Clippers. He played in the WHL with the New Westminster Bruins and Victoria Cougars.
The Cariboo Cougars, Kootenay Ice, South Island Royals and Vancouver North West Giants will announce their coaches soon.
The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship, which will take place in Prince George, BC April 24-30 2017.
