BC Hockey announced that Jaden Cherry of the Fraser Valley Rush has been named the Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA) Player of the Month for February 2018. The 5’3” forward from Richmond, BC, tallied three (3) goals and three (3) assists for six (6) points in eight (8) games in February. She is third among Rush players in scoring, with 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) in 31 games on the season.
Cherry, 16, is an honour roll student as well as a valued member of the Global Citizens group. Jaden also volunteers with her Rush teammates contributing money to the team charity, Habitat for Humanity.

The FMAAA was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite female Midget teams. The league has had over 100 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
