BC Hockey announced that Hayley Chang of the Greater Vancouver Comets has been named the Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA) Player of the Month for December 2018. The rear-guard from Coquitlam, BC, had five (5) points (1 goal, 4 assists) in four (4) games. Chang is averaging a point-per-game over 22 games this season helping lead the Comets to top spot in the FMAAA standings with a perfect 22-0-0-0 record.
Chang is a volunteer mentor with Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association’s (MHA) Atom A1 team along with Tri-Cities MHA Predators Atom C team. She is also a member of the “Me-to-We Club” at her high school.

The FMAAA was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite female Midget teams. The league has had over 100 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
