BC Hockey has announced the dates of the Spring Identification Camps for Midget AAA (Major Midget, Minor Midget) and Bantam AAA (Major Bantam). Details on the Zone Program Camps (Midget AA and Bantam AA) will be announced in the future.
SPRING IDENTIFICATION CAMPS - Major and Midget camps are held together
Teams are eligible to verbally commit to 11 – 18 skaters and two (2) goaltenders from their Spring Identification Camp. Teams will submit a list of players they have committed to within three (3) days from the conclusion of the camp.
*For Major Midget League (MML) only - Teams will not have any contact with players who did not attend their Spring Identification Camp until the start of the Prospects Camp. Spring Camp registration closes the day prior to camps starting.
MIDGET AAA (Major and Minor) SPRING ID CAMPS
BANTAM AAA SPRING ID CAMPS
The Major Bantam AAA Pilot Project will begin play in the 2019-2020 season in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. The program will be made up of seven (7) teams based on the Major Midget League (MML) draw zones.
The Minor Midget League was established in 2018 to provide an opportunity for 15 year old players a chance to play with players of the same birth year. The league is affiliated with the MML.
The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year old’s an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship.
