BC Hockey announced today the players selected to the 2008-2009 Major Midget League All-Star Team. Players were selected based on votes from BC Hockey Major Midget League coaches. Coaches were prohibited from voting for players on their own team. Each player will be presented with an award from BC Hockey.
The following players were selected to the 2008-09 Major Midget League All-Star Team:

Brandon Glover – Goalie – South Island Thunderbirds

Joey Laleggia – Defense – Vancouver North West Giants

Tyler Wotherspoon – Defense – Valley West Hawks

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – Forward – Vancouver North West Giants

Manraj Hayer – Forward – Greater Vancouver Canadians

Brett Bulmer – Forward – Cariboo Cougars
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
