BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Matt Ridley has been selected as the BC Hockey Player of the Month for January. A six foot two inch, 186 pound defenseman with the Okanagan Rockets, Ridley registered 5 goals and 9 assists for a total of 14 points and a plus/minus rating of +12 during the month.
“This particular player is a phenomenal talent. He is one of the highest scoring defensemen in the league,” stated Rockets Head Coach Ken Andrusiak.
As player of the month, Ridley will receive a gift from Mission-Itech.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
