BC Hockey and the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey are pleased to present the 2018 Canucks Female Jamboree, taking place March 16 – 18, 2018 at 8 Rinks Arena in Burnaby, BC.

Female players between the ages of 5-12 are encouraged to attend this event which emphasizes fun, sportsmanship and the celebration of female hockey.  The weekend will include an opening ceremony, team building events, and approximately three (3) games per team. Players register individually and will be placed on teams based on age, experience, and skill level.

Registration for players is $125, and each participant will receive a jersey and a gift from BC Hockey and the Vancouver Canucks.

Registration for coaches is free. It is required that coaches have Coach 1 – Intro to Coach or Coach 2 – Coach Level, Respect in Sport (RIS), and Concussion Awareness Training Tool (CATT) certifications, as well as a valid Criminal Record Check.

The registration deadline for both players and coaches is March 9, 2018. Confirmation packages, including team assignments and schedules, will be distributed after the registration deadline.

Please note that all travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the participant.  All goalies and players must bring their own equipment and socks - game jerseys will be supplied.

The Canucks Female Jamboree is a grassroots development program geared towards females already playing hockey, as well as those just starting out.  The event fosters a non-competitive atmosphere that allows the participants to have fun and play with other girls from around BC and the Yukon. BC Hockey jamborees stress sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for fellow players, coaches and officials.

BC Hockey works in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks through the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey to bring opportunities to minor hockey in British Columbia and the Yukon. The Centre aims to provide programs and initiatives supporting growth and development of coaches, players and fans.
