Glenn Anderson was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and played for the Bellingham Blazers of the BC Junior Hockey League. Anderson was drafted in the fourth round by the Edmonton Oilers in 1979, and won five (5) Stanley Cups with the Oilers, during their Wayne Gretzky era dynasty. Anderson added a sixth Stanley Cup to his impressive résumé in 1994 with the New York Rangers.
Anderson competed for Team Canada seven (7) times during his hockey career, winning two (2) Canada Cups, and adding a World Championship silver. Anderson played 1,129 National Hockey League games over sixteen (16) seasons, scoring 1,099 points.
Glenn Anderson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.
