Shea Weber was born in Sicamous, BC and played for the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League (WHL), a team which played for the Memorial Cup three (3) times during his tenure there, winning it in 2004.
Weber was drafted in the second round of the National Hcokey League (NHL) draft by the Nashville Predators in 2003, and was named their captain in 2010.
Shea Weber has won gold for Canada at nearly every level possible, with a World Junior Championship, World Championship and World Cup gold, adding two (2) golds from the Winter Olympics in 2010 and 2014.
Weber has scored over 500 NHL points with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens, as a solid defense minded defenseman, known for his slap shot which has won him NHL Hardest Shot competitions, and even blasted a puck clean through the net at the 2010 Olympics.
