Frank Lento has been extensively involved in hockey for a long time.
Frank served as the president (now Chair of the Board) of BC Hockey from 1988 to 1991, and has earned Honourary Life Member status from the organization. Frank was also awarded the Fred Heslop Minor Hockey Week Award in 1994.
Frank has been involved with numerous projects between Hockey Canada and BC Hockey, including his involvement with the bid committee during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. He also worked with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) as the director for Hockey Canada and was involved in National Hockey League negotiations leading up the league’s participation in the Nagano Winter Olympics.
Due to Frank’s contribution to hockey and the countless programs he has been a part of, he was inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010.
