Saturday, March 16, 2019

The Trinity Western University (TWU) Spartans captured their second straight BC Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) championship with a 9-1 victory over the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Mariners. The Spartans took the best-of-three (3) series two (2) games to none (0).

Kalen Denham (Innisfail, AB), led the Spartans with three (3) assists in the game, while Evan Last (Surrey, BC) and Brayden Brown (Calgary, AB) both scored two (2) goals for TWU.

TWU defeated VIU 3-2 on Thursday night in the first game of the championship series.
