Monday, March 18, 2019

Weekly recap from the Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA).

The Thompson-Okanagan Lakers and Vancouver Island Seals had a three (3) game wild card play-in series in the first round of the FMAAA playoffs.

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers vs. Vancouver Island Seals

Game 1: Vancouver Island 2, Thompson-Okanagan 1 OT

Game 2:  Thompson-Okanagan 4. Vancouver Island 1

Game 3: Thompson-Okanagan 2, Vancouver Island 1

Lakers win series 2-1.

The FMAAA was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite female Midget teams. The league has had over 100 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
