2019 BC Hockey Annual Congress

BC Hockey announced the schedule of events for the 2019 BC Hockey Annual Congress that will be held June 7 – 8, 2019 at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and Conference Centre in Sun Peaks, BC.  The Congress will include dynamic workshops to help grow hockey in BC and the Yukon along with recognition of great leaders and volunteers for their contributions to hockey.

On Saturday, June 8, 2019, there are six (6) workshops that delegates can choose to attend.  The schedule is designed for delegates to be able to attend multiple workshops based on member interests and needs.  The workshops have been planned to enhance member programming and administration, be more hands-on and be member driven.

The Female Programming workshop will run twice to ensure every delegate interested can attend.  Delegates should only register for the 8:00am or 10:00am session.




The sessions on Friday, June 7, 2019 will focus on growing the game, including discussions of best practices of the game.

BC Hockey member presidents (includes Minor Hockey Associations, District Associations and Junior leagues) are welcome to join BC Hockey Chair of the Board, Bill Greene, and BC Hockey Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Barry Petrachenko, for breakfast at the President’s Breakfast.

The Vancouver Canucks Silver Skate Luncheon will be held in the afternoon of Saturday, June 8, 2019.  These awards are presented to the 2018 – 2019 BC Hockey Champions and recognize the perseverance, dedication and teamwork put forth by each championship team during the hockey season. 

The BC Hockey Awards Banquet on Saturday evening will recognize deserving recipients in various categories for their contributions and dedication to hockey in BC and the Yukon.

Registration for the BC Hockey Annual Congress is open to all members and space is limited due to demand.  The cost to attend is $365 per delegate and includes: a welcome package, two (2) drink tickets that can be used at the Friday Night Social or Awards Banquet, breakfast Saturday morning, all Saturday morning seminars, Saturday Silver Skate lunch and the Awards Banquet, which includes a plated dinner.
