Saturday, April 25, 2020

Jenna Buglioni made history this season, setting the all time points record for the U18FAAA league with 185, topping former teammate Jenn Gardnier's record of 181.

Jenna finished her season with with 25 goals and 26 assists. for the league leading Greater Vancouver Comets.

"We had a tremendous season this year on and off the ice,” said Jenna. “We had a very special and supportive team from players, to coaches, to parents and siblings. The dedication from players and staff was very high this season and made for significant growth in all our games. The support from my teammates and coaches this past season and the previous years I have played with Comets has helped me grow into the player and person I am today.”

On top of her play with the Comets, Jenna represented Canada with the U18 women’s national team in Slovakia where the team took home silver in the World Championship. Jenna led the team with four (4) points in five (5) games.

“My experience at the U18 World Championships in Slovakia was indescribable,” said Jenna, adding: “I was very fortunate to have been selected and to have that experience under my belt. Being able to wear the maple leaf on my chest on a World stage was a very humbling experience as I know that there are many girls in the country who dream to play for Team Canada.”

Jenna will attend Ohio State University next season to further pursue both her education and playing career, taking her love for the game with her.

“Hockey means everything to me,” she added. “It has been a part of my life since I was four (4) years old. It has taught me so many things. I am dedicated to growing the female game and giving back to the hockey community that has given so much to me so far in my journey.”
