Jay Sharrers (Hope, BC) - The first Black official in NHL history talks about his career path, mentoring young officials, creating hockey opportunities for minorities and being a role model.
J.J. Prokosh (Coquitlam, BC) - Thanks to help from the Hockey Canada Foundation and Scotiabank, the eight-year-old is on the ice and making memories with his mom
Donovan Tait (Nanaimo, BC) - The son of Jamaican immigrants, Donovan Tait learned about Canadian culture through hockey. Now the RCMP officer is passing on the life lessons he learned in the game to his kids and his community.
Zack Vermeulen (Victoria, BC) - Despite growing up without access to ice in the Caribbean, 15-year-old Zack Vermeulen is quickly rising through the minor hockey ranks on Vancouver Island
