Having an Indigenous Liaison to support participants

Providing subsidies to members to encourage hosting Try Hockey events 

Celebrates Indigenous inclusivity and participation by celebrating the Indigenous Impact and Legacy Award each year

BC Hockey and ISPARC leaders have attend Cultural Safety Workshops on five occasions

Supporting Team BC at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship, and the hosting of events when applicable 

• Registering all non-member participants to ensure proper insurance coverage for tryouts

Worked with ISPARC to support an aboriginal apprentice coach for the 2023 Canada Winter Games, and are working to do the same for the upcoming 2027 Canada Winter Games

Supporting ISPARC with an elite athlete development program for Aboriginal athletes

Hosted two Aboriginal Coach Modules coach clinics, where coaches can obtain professional development points
