BC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES ROSTER FOR FEMALE PROGRAM OF EXCELLENCE PREP CAMP

Saanichton, B.C. - BC Hockey is pleased to announce the rosters for the Female Program of Excellence (POE) Prep Camp that will be held September 21-24, 2023, at Planet Ice Delta in Delta, B.C. and the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.

The camp will see 26 of the top 2006-2008-born female players compete for a spot on the final 20-person roster ahead of the 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship.

The Prep Camps are for BC Hockey/Hockey Canada players that are residents of British Columbia, and are part of a phased process for BC Hockey to evaluate and ultimately select the team that will represent B.C. at the 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship. The final Team BC 20-person roster will be announced after the conclusion of Prep Camp.

Throughout the camp, the team will participate in a variety of on-and-off-ice sessions including practices, evaluation exercises and games. The games that will occur throughout the camp are: 

• Thursday, September 21 against Trinity Western University – 7:00 p.m. – Langley Events Centre
• Friday, September 22 against U17 Valley West Giants - 7:30 p.m. - Planet Ice Delta - American Rink
• Saturday, September 23 against U17 Valley West Giants - 5:00 p.m. - Planet Ice Delta - American Rink

The 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship will be held in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the Ovintiv Events Centre from November 5-11, 2023. Ticket packages are available for purchase by clicking HERE.
