BC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES TEAM BC ROSTER AHEAD OF 2024 NATIONAL WOMEN'S UNDER-18 CHAMPIONSHIP

For Immediate Release

September 24, 2024

Saanichton, B.C. – BC Hockey is excited to announce the roster for our Program of Excellence’s (POE) Female U18 Team BC for the 2024 National Women's Under-18 Championship.

Team BC will be looking to maintain their success after a bronze medal at the 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship when they take the ice at the qplex in Quispamsis, NB, from November 3-9, 2024.

The final roster consists of two goaltenders and 18 skaters from across British Columbia and Yukon. The full roster can be viewed on the Program of Excellence page on the BC Hockey website.

There are 12 players returning from the team that took home bronze at the 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship in Dawson Creek: Molly Cole, Maisie Cope, Aurora Kahlert, Cassandra Kehler, Brielle Kelly-Paquet, Makena Lloyd-Howe, Taya Lonsdale, Kaitlyn Mallette, Danica Maynard, Anna McKee, London McDavid and Kennedy Sisson.

"It was a challenge to narrow the roster down to just 20 players, which speaks to the amount of talent within our branch." Said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey's Program of Excellence. "We can't wait to see what Team BC can do on the national stage this fall in New Brunswick."

Team BC will be led by head coach Megan Price. She will be joined by assistant coaches Kelsey Firkus and Kira Makuk along with video coach Allan Russell, athletic therapist SJ Sanghera, equipment manager Jen Collins, strength & conditioning coach Travis Martell and head scout and coach mentor Patrick Thibeault.
