BC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES TEAM BC ROSTER AHEAD OF 2024 WHL CUP

Saanichton, B.C. – BC Hockey is excited to announce the roster for our Program of Excellence’s (POE) Male U16 Team BC for the 2024 WHL Cup.
Team BC will have their sights set on hoisting the WHL Cup, as the team prepares to travel to Red Deer, Alberta. The final roster consists of two goaltenders, six defenders, and 12 forwards from across British Columbia. The full roster can be viewed on the Program of Excellence page on the BC Hockey website.
“We’re incredibly proud of the work ethic from the athletes who will represent Team BC at the 2024 WHL Cup.” said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence. “We are excited for this tournament as it provides a showcase for these players to display their talent and the opportunity to continue their hockey development.”
As is the tradition at the WHL Cup, Team BC will be competing against provincial teams from Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The players will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills while battling it out for the tournament’s top spot.
Team BC will be led by head coach Riley Emmerson, joined by assistant coaches James Pollock and Dan Cioffi, and coach mentor Jason Becker. The Team BC support staff includes Team BC scout Jamie Jackson, video coach Julian Feijo, athletic therapist Bob Pond, equipment manager and trainer Glen Klassen, and strength and conditioning coach Bailey Dhaliwal.
The 2024 WHL Cup tournament dates, schedule and additional information will be released by the Western Hockey League in the near future.
