Saanichton, B.C. – BC Hockey is excited to announce the roster for our Program of Excellence’s (POE) Women's U18 Team BC.
Team BC will be looking to maintain their success after their gold medal at the 2023 Canada Winter Games when they take the ice at the 2023 National Women's Under-18 Championship. The tournament will take place on home ice at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek, B.C. from November 5-11, 2023.
The final roster consists of two goaltenders and 18 skaters from across British Columbia. The full roster can be viewed HERE.
There are eight players returning from the team that won gold at the Canada Winter Games: Molly Cole, Gracie Graham, Morgan Jackson, Clara Juca, Aurora Kahlert, Danica Maynard, London McDavid and Chloe Primerano.
"Narrowing the roster down to just 20 players was tough, considering the abundance of talent in our branch," said Fred Zweep, Commissioner of BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence. "We can't wait to see these women compete on home ice and see the program continue to grow from the success we saw at the 2023 Canada Winter Games."
Team BC will be led by head coach Amy de Bree. She will be joined by assistant coaches Jesse Hammill and Whitney Juszkiewicz along with video coach Allan Russell, athletic therapist Lydia Maxwell, equipment manager Les Cleverly, strength & conditioning coach Travis Martell and head scout and coach mentor Patrick Thibeault.
