BC HOCKEY SEEKING CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITION

BC Hockey's Nominating Committee is seeking one (1) individual to join the BC Hockey Board of Directors in an appointed position due to a Board vacancy.
TERM / DURATION: The term of this position will commence at the beginning of January 2026 and conclude June 2026.
TIME COMMITMENT: The anticipated time commitment for this role is 10-20 hours on average per month depending on committees that the Board member sits on. In addition, the Board of Directors is expected to meet four times between now and the end of this term (June 2026).
BC Hockey seeks to build and maintain a board comprised of leaders committed to BC Hockey’s role to steward amateur hockey at all levels in British Columbia and Yukon. The Nominating Committee seeks candidates who are able to fulfill their governance, legislative, and fiduciary duties professionally and without conflict of interest.

WHAT DOES THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DO: The BC Hockey Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, financial oversight, and fiduciary governance on behalf of the membership. The Board of Directors sets and monitors strategic direction, reviews and develops policy, evaluates organizational performance, and collaborates with membership to strengthen BC Hockey’s overall governance capacity.
