BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - NOVEMBER 26-30

Saanichton, B.C. - The BCEHL will end the month of November with some great contests, featuring a big-time matchup between the top two teams in the U15 league! Meanwhile, the standings in the U17 and the U18 leagues continues to intensify. Let's take a closer look at what's in store.

Female U18 AAA

There is a lone matchup in the Female U18 league to end the month. The fifth-place Vancouver Island Seals (2-13-0) will take on the fourth-place Northern Capitals (6-9-1), with the Capitals having won three of four games so far during their season series.

U18 AAA

It's a nail-biter in the U18 league as only one point separates the top two teams, who have begun to pull away from the crowd. Between the third and sixth place teams, a mere six points separates the four squads. A battle for third sees the third-place Cariboo Cougars (7-5-2) host the fourth-place Thompson Blazers (7-6-0) for a key two-game set. Elsewhere, looking to take top spot, the second-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (11-3-1) will take on the sixth-place Valley West Giants (4-8-3), who themselves are one point back of fifth place.

U17 AAA

The standings in the U17 league have been neck-and-neck all season long. The fifth-place Okanagan Rockets (9-5-2), only one point back of third, will have a tall task moving up the standings as they will face the league-leading Thompson Blazers (13-5-2) for a home-and-home series. Just three points back of first, the second-place Cariboo Cougars (12-4-1) will aim to fend off the eighth-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (7-7-1), who will play their weekend contests in Burnaby.

U15 AAA

A showdown between league leaders in the U15 league takes centre stage this week in the BCEHL. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (13-1-0) will look to hand the Okanagan Rockets (12-0-0) their first loss of the season during their two-game series. Meanwhile, the fifth-place Cariboo Cougars (8-6-0), four points behind third, will hit the road to face off against the sixth-place Valley West Giants (3-10-0).
